Designed by Peter Marino, the staircase was conceived as a sculptural element connecting multiple levels of the store while acting as a central architectural feature within the space.

Although defined by a clean and fluid geometry, the project required the integration of complex structural, glazing and manufacturing solutions. Concealed beneath the finished surfaces lies a highly engineered steel structure, developed to support the staircase with a limited number of structural connections while maintaining the lightness and elegance of the original design.

The project combined bespoke structural glass balustrades, double-curved timber cladding and a custom leather-wrapped handrail, each element carefully coordinated to achieve a seamless architectural result.

The staircase demonstrates how architecture, engineering, craftsmanship and specialist glazing can come together to transform an ambitious design concept into a buildable reality.
