/ BUPA Cromwell Hospital / London

A series of bespoke laminated glass screens were developed to separate consultation and reception areas while preserving the openness, daylight and visual continuity of the main waiting space.

Rather than being treated as standalone partitions, the screens were developed as integral elements of the overall reception design, helping organise the space while maintaining transparency and visual connection throughout the interior.

The decorative pattern, integrated directly within the laminated glass, creates varying levels of privacy while allowing light to pass freely through the space. Particular attention was given to the development of the interlayer pattern, the detailing of the fixing system and the coordination of the individual glass screens, ensuring visual continuity across the reception area and allowing the various elements to be perceived as a single architectural intervention.

Detailed as lightweight frameless elements, the screens demonstrate how glass can be used not simply as a partition, but as an architectural tool capable of defining space and user experience.
